Made in Ukraine. Every one of them.

We ship Polartec Power Grid into Ukraine, and every quarter-zip is cut and sewn there.

Buying Ukrainian doesn’t mean settling: this is technical mountain gear.

Our team wore it up to a mountain hut in the Swiss Alps, and through the Yukon backcountry, pack on.

Power Grid

Made with Polartec, the fleece used by the US military.

Polartec says the US Army’s Gen III Level II layer, nicknamed “the waffle”, is made from Power Grid. The same Polartec fleece is in this quarter-zip.

Warm at full pace, without soaking through.

The inside is a grid: the squares hold warm air, and the channels between them let heat and sweat out.

You stay warm moving fast, without cooking on the uphill.

Packs down small enough to always bring.

It folds down to fit in two hands, so there’s always room for it: for the summit, the stop or the drive home.

The Quarter-Zip is even better

  • Zip down to dump heat, up to cover your neck: a quarter-zip and stand collar
  • A zip pocket set in a stretch-nylon panel
  • Still Polartec Power Grid: warm at pace, and it packs down small

Too nice to be real? Fair. Our mums didn’t write these, promise. They all live on Judge.me, and “Verified” means Judge.me matched the review to a real order.

Who's behind it

The Saint Javelin story

  1. The original Saint Javelin sticker: a saint holding a Javelin missile
    February 2022

    The million-dollar sticker

On February 16, 2022, former journalist Christian Borys printed 100 stickers of a saint holding a Javelin missile to raise money for Ukrainian charities. He sold over 10,000 and raised over $1M.

  2. Ukrainian soldiers holding a Saint Javelin flag
    Late 2022

    From meme to maker

We started making our gear in Ukraine. In late 2022, we built and donated military winter gear to Ukrainian soldiers, which went on to inspire the Defender collection.

  3. Our team in the Yukon backcountry
    Since then

    Proving our gear

Our gear has been proven around the world: in the hardest conditions in Ukraine, high in the Alps and even in the Yukon backcountry.

Questions we get

How warm is it?

It's an ultralight layer for moving: warm at pace and very breathable. It isn't a heavy winter fleece. When you stop in real cold, put something warmer over it, and add a shell in wind or rain.

How does it fit?

Close and athletic, made for layering. Between sizes? Size up to wear it over a base layer.

Is it military issue?

No. Polartec says the US Army’s Gen III Level II layer is made from Power Grid, the same fleece we use, but the quarter-zip is ours: designed for the outdoors and made in Ukraine.

What colours and sizes are there?

Grey, in S to XXL. The size chart is on the product page.

Where is it made?

100% Made in Ukraine. We bring the Polartec fabric in, and the quarter-zip is cut and sewn in Ukraine.

Tough gear,
for tough people.

Made in Ukraine. Worn in the Alps.
