I use this as an upgrade for my Saint Javelin Skullcap Beanie in extremely harsh weather conditions. The combination of the two forms a perfect modular system to keep you comfortably warm, especially during varying levels of exertion.
Just like the beanie, the balaclava feels very solid, has a good fit, and the material is the perfect thickness so that it doesn't get in the way under a helmet or a high jacket collar.
As an outdoor enthusiast, I have worn and tested a lot of gear. This beanie is one of the best pieces of headwear I have ever owned. It feels very sturdy, fits well, stays in place, and perfectly protects against wind and light rain. The combination of double fabric at the ears, forehead, and back of the head and single fabric at the top is ideal. In extreme cold, combining it with your powerstretch balaclava is the perfect modular system to keep you comfortably warm, especially during varying levels of exertion.

My bag took longer to arrive due to a snafu at customs. It was definitely worth the wait! This bag has more room and compartments than I was ready for and I almost have too much room. I cannot wait to travel with it. Tanya in customer service provided excellent communication and support. My only complaint is that I wish it had Velcro on the inside so that I could attach my holster. I figured that out though!

I was a soldier in the 90s, another lifetime. I could only dream of an assault pack this good back then. This is the finest backpack I have ever used in my 50 years on this Earth. It is simply the best.
Good material, keeps the heat and a well made closure for the hood. However. The sweater is not as large as advertised when taking into account the lower back and arms. I usually buy climbing garments and they have the shoulder and arm in the same piece and gussets to move up without shortening. Something to keep in mind if selling to the defense. I have the pants in this material and they have adequate mobility for climbing. Nevertheless. The sweater is cozy for winter evenings at home and the look is awesome.
I didn't want to carry the backpack I use for work (I'm a tram technician) for other things such as travel etc. This bag is bigger than it looks; great laptop sleeve and the perfect amount of pockets. I sat on the fence for years trying to decide if I wanted to spend the money. I'm sorry I didn't buy it sooner.

Great backpack. Great material. Smaller than expected but the side pockets for water bottles was a must. Inside smaller pockets are super convinient for phones or gear you need to carry. Definitely recommend, took long to arrive but given where its coming from, had a long way to travel from Ukraine to NYC. Great purchase!
