Designed with four Ukrainian women serving on the front line. Each chose a symbol from her own story: a wolf, a grapevine, an FPV controller, a phoenix, and all four are stitched into this shirt.

The Vyshyvanka (Вишиванка) is a traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt with a history spanning centuries. Each pattern carries meaning rooted in Ukrainian culture and identity. This version is made from breathable linen with Saint Javelin's signature embroidery — traditional in form, unmistakably ours in detail.

This vyshyvanka runs large. For a traditional fit, order your usual size. For a more tailored look, size down. We recommend checking the measurements below before ordering.

Washing

  • Hand wash cold with mild detergent. Gently agitate. Do not scrub the embroidery.
  • If machine washing, use a gentle cold cycle. Place in a mesh laundry bag. Use mild detergent. No bleach.
  • Do not soak, especially the embroidered areas, to prevent colour bleeding.

Drying

  • Lay flat on a clean towel and reshape while damp.
  • Do not wring or twist.
  • Dry in the shade to prevent fading.

Ironing & Storage

  • Iron slightly damp on the reverse side using a medium-hot linen setting.
  • Place a cloth over the embroidery when ironing.
  • Fold to store in a cool, dry place.

Four symbols, chosen by the women who wear them

For generations, Ukrainian embroidery has carried the stories of the people who wore it. Alongside the symbols from our original embroidery, we introduced four new ones — each chosen by a Ukrainian woman whose life, service, and story became part of this design.

The Wolf

Chosen by Alina, commander of the Ulf Medical Service

The wolf is strength, courage, and the spirit of the pack. She founded Ulf in 2017 after joining Dmytro “Da Vinci” Kotsiubailo’s volunteer unit — “Ulf” is the Old Norse word for wolf, and it became more than a name. It became a reminder that no one fights alone.

The Grapevine

The Phoenix

The phoenix is the symbol of the rehabilitation centre she created for active-duty service members and veterans. It represents healing after destruction, rebuilding after loss, and the strength to begin again. Some battles are fought on the battlefield. Others begin once the soldiers come home.
