This EDC bag is amazing; its strong, customizable, and can go everywhere you go. I have owned many bags, but this one stands out from the rest. Thank you and God Bless the people and the country of Ukraine 🇺🇦.
Initially really enjoyed the bag and still quite happy with its look and function but after about a month there are small aspects of build quality that im less happy with.
First issue, when worn on the back the buckle tends to sit on and dig into my shoulder especially when biking.
Second the little loop of webbing to hold the strap slack is unraveling (easily replaced but still) and the folded tail of the strap is starting to come unstiched.
Third the mesh side pouches dont feel like theyll last long and the grommet for the cinch on one side has come out.
Last the top carry handle has quickly begun to get sort of fuzzy with loose fibers.
Aestheticaly awesome and the main body of the bag is seemingly built well but the peripheral parts seem a little lacking. I image it will wear like a velveteen rabbit. Ears eyes and fur rubbed off from years of love.
I dont regret the purchase and I hope the money goes well to support Ukraine.
Final note, wishlist:
I wish there had been some loops or something on the underside so that I could add stretchy cord to fit a rolled up puffer or shell jacket.
Awesome green bag with matching Tryzub patch makes it worth it! Slava Ukraini!!! 💛💙💚😸
Service was helpful and delivery to the UK very punctual. Bag is top notch qiality and looks great
It got here faster than I expected and everything on the bag just feels like quality. Slava Ukraini!
Good quality and design!
Compact and waterproof and built to last.
I use my slingpack for long walks and hikes , to have my documents telephone and small snacks for grabs.
Слава Україні and greetings from the Netherlands
This sling bag was everything I was looking for. Having velcro for morale patches on the front is great, which is not a common feature with other sling bags. I am taking advantage of the 1 litre capacity for EDC items including my insulin pens, pen tops and glucose tablets.
I'm just two weeks into owning my new EDC Mission Backpack and already its outclassed my previous that travelled the world with me. The quality of the materials and the construction are outstanding.
I particularly like the velcro pad that I can use to customise with my own patches. Slava Ukraini !
Very impressed with the quality and details, it shows that a lot of thought has gone into the design and then care during manufacturing.
I enjoy this Pack since Day One.
Fast to adjust with the smooth Seatbelty fabric with buckle and D-ring system.
Holds tight and feels very comfortable on the Hip front or back. Nice padding on the inside valuables pouch.
Crossbody wear is equally satisfying.
Very spacious in the Main pocket.
I've read before that the front pocket would be flat tight but I seem to fit a pair of emergency clothes scissors, 2 chapsticks, pocket change, folded bills and Credit cards and such also in the mesh pockets inside.
Love the overall haptic feel of the different fabrics used as well as smooth zippers with nice pull tabs and the unique main handle design.
Lots of possibilities of attachments, like carabiners on the sewn on loops.
And of course people who like decorating with patches have plenty of space.
In my case the bag had 2 manufacturing issues until now. They happened around a week after first use.
First, the end of the main handle fabric came out frayed, halfway outside of the stitching. Where the end of it goes hidden inside the bags topside stitching. my attached carabiner had probably loosened it. Seems the Band wasn't held in by the stitching.
I managed to repair it myself as I have sewing machine skills and secured the band and stitching again.
Otherwise it would have been a reason for a replacement.
Secondly, one end of the drawstring on a side mesh pocket came loose out of the bags stitching. I have yet to fix that, but will soon.
I know this can rarely happen in production when the needle and thread miss the string or band while sewing the bag together, as I have worked in bag making as well.
Just thought I'd let you know.
Nevertheless I am very happy with my new everyday Pack, made in Ukraine, Made in Europe.
Best wishes
The 5 stars are deserved. I wanted a slightly smaller pack than my previous daily backpack because it was too bulky for my commute to work. The EDC Backpack is the perfect size. I had been looking for reviews, pictures and more about it because I find the pictures on here aren't quite as informative as I would have liked (And they actually don't do it justice. The bottom compartment has extra organizsation in it that is in none of the pictures! It has a sleeve for a pen, one that is slightly bigger for something like a multitool and one with a flap that fits a smaller phone but not my Pixel 8 Pro - I have a pack of paper handkerchiefs in it).
The hidden bag that's right up against the back is great for laptops and the two bigger compartments are spaced well in my opinion.
There are a few minor cons though, that are not a deal breaker for me at all but good to know. There's a second laptop sleeve inside the bigger compartment, I personally wouldn't have needed that and would have preferred some more webbed/netted compartments like in the smaller section of the backpack. The Molle is great, I can attach paracord that lets me tie my coat or sleeping mat to it, however, the Saint Javelin logo effectively "removes" two of the bottom right Molle loops. The straps for everything come with velcro or elastic retainers for the excess length, which is a plus, but now you have a LOT of stuff dangling about. And finally, the smell. I know Nylon smell and that it takes a day or two to go away, but the inside of the backpack smelled VERY strongly and it was not just nylon. It took 2 days to air out and now it's fine, but if I didn't know better, I would say it smelled like stale cigarette smoke, along with the nylon smell.
If you have the same issue, open up all the zippers and hang it on a chair in the sun. It'll be gone soon enough.
None of the cons make the bag any less good and I would have bought it knowing these things before hand. It's worth the money and arrived in Germany within less than a week (funny enough it made a HUGE detour within Germany because of the way the postal service works, but on day 2 it was basically half an hour away from me, then went to the other side of the country, only to come back after customs). Happy I bought it and look forward to using it for many many years.
I've just begun to really use this bag. I just started biking and it has been a nice light carry. So far really like it aestheticaly and functionaly but I did thing it was gonna be a tad bigger. Excited to see how it wears over time.
I’ve owned a lot of backpacks over the years, but the EDC Mission Backpack from Saint Javelin is probably the best designed and best constructed backpack I have ever owned. Everything about it feels thought through — from the layout and accessibility of the compartments to the comfort and balance when carrying it fully loaded.
The materials and workmanship are genuinely outstanding. It feels robust without being unnecessarily heavy, and it strikes an excellent balance between tactical practicality and everyday usability. The zips, stitching, padding, and fabric all inspire confidence that this pack is built to last.
What impressed me most is that it clearly wasn’t designed just to look good in photos — it’s a backpack made by people who understand real-world daily use. Whether for work, travel, or everyday carry, it performs exceptionally well.
Highly recommended.
Geweldige tas. Stevig en groot genoeg. Hou wel rekening met de importheffing. Die was voor Nederland zo’n €50. Dat vond ik wel veel.
