Where it comes from
Same standard as our fleece.
In the winter of 2022 we sent fleeces, jackets and beanies to Ukrainian soldiers. Their feedback became the Defender Collection. The flannel is the piece you wear around it: the drive, the cabin, the evening after.

Is it warm enough for winter?
On its own, it’s for cool, dry days. When it turns cold, wear it open over a base layer with a fleece on top. We don’t give temperature ratings.
Is it waterproof?
No. It’s cotton flannel. In rain or wet snow, wear a shell over it.
How do I wash it?
Wash cold. It’s 100% cotton.
How does it fit?
Sizes S to XXL. The photos show it on a man and a woman, buttoned and worn open.
Where is it made?
The flannel is woven in Portugal. We cut and sew it in Ukraine.
Do I need to be outdoorsy?
No. It’s made for the cabin, the range and the trailhead, and plenty of people just wear it to work and around town.
Who’s behind Saint Javelin?
Christian Borys, a Canadian-Ukrainian former conflict journalist who covered the war in Ukraine from 2015, and a small team in Canada and Ukraine.
