The Veterans Behind Our Recycled War Parts

The Veterans Behind Our Recycled War Parts

Ukrainian veterans Andriy and Mykhailo craft Saint Javelin's recycled war parts from warm shell casings collected directly from the battlefield. With proceeds supporting Ukraine's Armed Forces, the war part products transform the metal of war into ongoing support for frontline defenders.

One Fleece For Every Order: 259 Fleeces Donated

From day one, we've been committed to making sure everything we do supports Ukrainian people and businesses. This felt like a natural extension of that mission. Our fleeces use the same Polartec® Thermal Pro® technology that keeps Ukrainian defenders warm in brutal conditions. When we thought about donating these to kids who've been through hell, it made sense. If it's good enough for soldiers, it's definitely good enough to provide real comfort to children who need it.

More Than Basics: Made in Ukraine with Purpose

This is our evolution. We started as a simple sticker campaign and we’ve evolved so much. Ultimately, I want us to stick around long term and become a brand like Patagonia, or Fjallraven, or Cotopaxi, but for us, the key difference is that I want to make sure that absolutely everything we create is made in Ukraine and supports local Ukrainian manufacturing, businesses and their people.

The Journey of a Combat Medic on Ukraine’s Front Lines

From day one, Saint Javelin has been about sharing the voices of Ukraine’s defenders, and honoring the resilience and stories of those who risk their lives daily. For our 2024 Defender Collection, we’re bringing forward stories of courage directly from the front lines.  This year, we had the privilege of speaking with Iordan Konstantinidi, a 27-year-old combat medic serving in the 82th Separate Assault Brigade. His shift, from a vibrant life in Odesa to the realities of wartime, illustrates the resilience of Ukraine’s defenders.

This year, we’re honored to share the story of Daria, known by her call sign "Hilka," a lieutenant in the National Guard and a pilot of combat drones. Her story offers a clear-eyed view of the war and serves as a reminder of why the world cannot turn away from Ukraine’s fight.
